Catching Up and Bragging

It's been quite a while since I last posted - blame winter blues and general inertia. I greatly admire Draclvr for her diligence in posting and keeping the forum going practically singlehanded at times. It's been a quiet year except for our two main events, a new greatgrandson and a wedding, just th...

Re: Packing Chaos

Hi Rosa! I haven't posted for a long while but just wanted to wish you all the best in your new home. We holidayed in Kingussie with trips to various Highland towns and absolutely loved the country. If you get a chance, try some heather whisky!

Re: New Carol Reed!

So far, so good. Deserted quarries, lots of houses to explore, Jonas and Stina present, waiting for Bigge. Did I mention I love these games?!!

Re: Tomatoes!

What variety are you growing, Drac? We only have a few backyard plants, but plenty for the two of us. This year we planted a variety called, wait for it, "HEINZ"! It been very productive so far with several dozen toms, enough for us and some for the kids.

Re: Happy Birthday, Rosaboobie!!

Belated birthday greetings, Rosa! let me add my sympathy on the loss of your mother. She certainly did live to a very old age and I'm sure she was proud of you. Can we look forward to an update on your travels? Especially "glamping" in Africa

Re: Ready Player One

I read the book quite some time ago and enjoyed it. Watching movies made from a book I've read is not always a good experience for me as I can't seem to help picking up on plot or characters they've got wrong. And generally commenting on same which drives other people nuts. So, I haven't made up my ...

Re: Cliff Johnson's May Newsletter

While I appreciate knowing the difference between the respective snouts of a crocodile and an alligator, I sincerely hope I never have to be close enough to tell! (from the Bonus section). Love the Newsletter.

Re: Password managers

So, basically, you're only at risk from Norwegians. I've downloaded LastPass from the Firefox add-ons. It looks good but so far I haven't set it up. Apparently it also generates new passwords for users. I do think, however, that bank passwords had better stay right where they are!

Re: Password managers

What are the dangers of password managers getting hacked? I'd like to try one, but wonder what the risk is?

Re: Saved Games Database

Thanks, Draclvr! I'll do that. Honestly, talk about a way to spoil a good game! This particular puzzle would be better suited to Playstation or similar. BTW, lucky DanyBoy! My own son just spent the winter in Cambodia.

Ok, renamed it 001 to follow sequentially, but it still starts at the same place. Think I'm going to have to give up here.

Re: Saved Games Database

I'm afraid I've got a quibble. Thought I'd try a replay of Next Life Reprobates. Then I arrived at the Yellow Ball puzzle and find it beyond my abilities these days. So I downloaded the "save" from the Attic but although it says it starts AFTER the puzzle, it actually starts at the beginni...
