Re: Tomatoes!

What variety are you growing, Drac? We only have a few backyard plants, but plenty for the two of us. This year we planted a variety called, wait for it, "HEINZ"! It been very productive so far with several dozen toms, enough for us and some for the kids.

Re: Remember Day of the Tentacle???

I got the wrong game, it was Syberia where it was so funny to watch Kate Walker climb stairs. She'd run like the wind then stop and climb like some arthritic 80 year old. BTW, I'm not poking fun at 80 year olds, I'm almost there myself. (Let me tell you about my hips!)

Re: Remember Day of the Tentacle???

Ah, but The Longest Journey was worth playing just to watch what's her name climbing stairs!

Re: Remember Day of the Tentacle???

I tried it but it wasn't for me. Too much back and fro-ing and way too much dialogue. Admittedly the puzzles I managed to solve were clever, but in the long run I just didn't have the patience to finish. I know, I know, instant gratification - childish but then I'm in my second childhood!

Re: Remember Day of the Tentacle???

I'm going to give it a try. Never played Day of the Tentacle, believe it or not, but certainly knew of it. I'll let you know my impressions.

Re: Happy Birthday, Rosaboobie!!

Belated birthday greetings, Rosa! let me add my sympathy on the loss of your mother. She certainly did live to a very old age and I'm sure she was proud of you. Can we look forward to an update on your travels? Especially "glamping" in Africa

Re: Ready Player One

I read the book quite some time ago and enjoyed it. Watching movies made from a book I've read is not always a good experience for me as I can't seem to help picking up on plot or characters they've got wrong. And generally commenting on same which drives other people nuts. So, I haven't made up my ...

Re: Myst 25th anniversary collection

I've always thought of Myst as a William Wordsworth game. You know - "I've wandered lonely as a cloud......."

BTW, second you on Shivers.

Re: Cliff Johnson's May Newsletter

While I appreciate knowing the difference between the respective snouts of a crocodile and an alligator, I sincerely hope I never have to be close enough to tell! (from the Bonus section). Love the Newsletter.

Re: Password managers

So, basically, you're only at risk from Norwegians. I've downloaded LastPass from the Firefox add-ons. It looks good but so far I haven't set it up. Apparently it also generates new passwords for users. I do think, however, that bank passwords had better stay right where they are!

Re: Password managers

What are the dangers of password managers getting hacked? I'd like to try one, but wonder what the risk is?

Re: Saved Games Database

Thanks, Draclvr! I'll do that. Honestly, talk about a way to spoil a good game! This particular puzzle would be better suited to Playstation or similar. BTW, lucky DanyBoy! My own son just spent the winter in Cambodia.

Re: Saved Games Database

Ok, renamed it 001 to follow sequentially, but it still starts at the same place. Think I'm going to have to give up here.
