Re: Resize an image online

I find if I set my own I end up with a strange looking picture... Maybe the height/width values you enter changes the aspect ratio, thus stretching or squashing the image. Ifanview has the option to "preserve aspect ratio" when you're resizing an image. When you enter a value for width, t...

Re: Favorite videos

They had oodles of other videos but not THE one so back to the drawing board and figure out another way to post. Hang in there you all. And now for the scary sc...

Re: Favorite videos

This is the video that I had responded to, Black Dahlia. The one that Siobhan posted on the first page of this thread. It's not really a "video", but more like a puzzle. You try to find "what's wrong with the picture". Let us know how you make out :) http://www.albinoblacksheep.c...

Re: Favorite videos

Wel, my friend Siobhan, my two Jack Russells were sitting at the computer with me......and your video frightened the **** out of them - It really set them off barking franticly, and so so funny to watch them barking at the screen    Nevermind your Jack Russels....I almost had a heart...

Re: Batman: Arkham City

Yes, that would be my trusty Cyber Snipa. I have no idea why it still works - I've pounded the daylights out of it in many a game! I'm sure the manufacturer did the same thing. It's designed to withstand that kind of abuse. I know exactly how you feel, though. I've almost thrown my PS3 controller, ...

Re: Batman: Arkham City

I haven't, but this is one of the free games I got with the GTX 560 Ti video card I got for my grandson's build we did last Christmas. It's totally a gamepad version like Robert says. If you have a gaming type keyboard, that would work. Grandson is playing with mouse and keyboard type gamepad. That...

Re: Batman: Arkham City

Well, I really don't know. I played it on my Playstation 3. I guess it depends on how good you are with mouse and keyboard. If you're not very skilled with mouse and keyboard, then yes, you should probably use a gamepad. I'm sure the PC version has a gamepad setup utility, as games like this usually...

Batman: Arkham City

Has anyone played this game? I can't remember the last time I've had so much fun with a game. This game is awesome, even better than the Bioshock series , and that's saying a lot. The characters and the storyline is engaging, the mechanics of the way Batman moves around the city using the grapple gu...

Re: Alice: Madness Returns

I'm sure you will with Skyrim, if you play it. A "recommended" video card won't run a game at maximum settings. Usually you need a card at least three or four rungs above what's recommended in the sys reqs to get good framerates with all the video options turned up to the highest settings,...

Re: Alice: Madness Returns

This awesome gaming rig is absolutely ancient now! But it still plays everything I've thrown at it at full resolutions etc. The "recommended" system requirements for the recently released Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim calls for a GTX260 or higher (which is what you have IIRC).....so you're stil...

Re: Alice: Madness Returns

Excellent solution if I could get hubby to give up the TV! Your PC monitor doesn't have an HDMI port? Anyway, the gamefly account wouldn't be worth it unless you devote a good bit of time to gaming. As much as I play, I can beat at least two games per month, and even if I only beat one game per mon...

Re: Alice: Madness Returns

You should get a PS3, Drac. You can get a Gamefly account and have 2 games out at a time for $24 a month, or one game out at a time for about $17 a month. The graphics are darn near as good as PC and you don't have to worry about "buggy" ports.....and you'll have a blu-ray player to boot. ...

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

I thought the second option might be what Robert is talking about. No, "invert Y axis" isn't what i meant. If you have TR: Anniversary installed, those gamepad options are what I'm talking about (X, Y and Z axis). They allow you to move forward, back, left and right (like WSAD) with the l...

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

When I said "stick" I was referring to the "thumbsticks", like on a modern gamepad, like an Xbox or Playstation controller. A "joystick" is something totally different. The full version of this game does not have an option to "look" with the mouse? That is ver...

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

I hate that they didn't allow the PC gamer to control Lara's movements with both the Gamepad or keyboard and the mouse. The other games allowed the mouse to change the camera angle with the WASD keys controlling movement. Using only the WASD keys doesn't allow much precision for the jumps, evasive ...
