Sorry to be so late in noticing this post but rest assured I'll be first in line next year. Happy Very Belated, JKEerie.

Re: The Recipe Exchange.

This sounds good and definitely worth a try. I've put lemon pepper on my grocery list. Re pounding the breast thin, I invested in a meat hammer a couple of years ago and am amazed how versatile it is. It's especially good for crushing garlic too.

Unfortunately only after pouring meat and gravy over the noodles, did I realize the pasta was severely undercooked. At this point, not a lot could be done but struggle through. Won't make that mistake again! (B...

Re: Happy Halloween

We had about 15 trick or treaters around, which was huge numbers more than we've had before. Luckily I got some mini chocolate bars in to hand out! One tiny little Chinese Cinderella, only 22 months old - just so cute you could eat her. BTW, have you ever tried eating a plate of spaghetti and answer...

I was amazed to see that same firm does window cleaners too. I'm not in the market for a vacuum but I'm working on himself for the window cleaner!

This is good news, Starlite. May I suggest a nice walk to enjoy our beautiful autumn colours while they last?

Three cheers to your mother and her fantastic outing! Popcorn shrimp and a Bloody Mary - what more could a birthday girl ask?

We'll look forward to hearing about your experiences with your Roomba-style vacuum! Especially how hard it is to set up.

I'm a fan of the laminates these days. I know they're not as nice as wood floors, but at my age and with my knees, I appreciate floors that I can push a mop over and don't need extra care. I've got a Swiffer WetJet that I love!

Are you able to salvage any of the original oak? I'm sure one of these recycling places would pay for them.

Wow, that is a major upset! I've been putting off taking up the wall to wall in my bedroom for years, but I think you've just shamed me into doing it.

This sounds more like a description of an angel than an ordinary human being! Especially "be kind to unkind people", they bring out the absolute worst in me.

Re: Stress Levels on the Ceiling Now!

I've just had a look at the rules for Power of Attorney in the UK (government site) and nowhere does it say the person holding Power of Attorney is responsible for the "donor's" i.e. your mother, debts, only that you must be prudent in using her money. I don't understand, how could there b...
