Subclavian steal syndrome

I had a CT scan the other day because I had been coughing blood. They didn’t find what they were checking for but the doctor said I need to be assessed for “Subclavian steal syndrome” which was something I’d never heard of. It means I may have blood flowing the wrong way in a vein. I was just impres...

Away for a week

I’ve been on holiday for a week in Dorset in the UK - as is my habit I’ve written up the experience at https://www.alofmethbin.com/Articles/Diary/2019/Dorset/index.html . I’ve also been having fun in other directions. Two weeks I started coughing up blood - the hospital couldn’t find anything major ...

Re: It's been quiet around here.

Good to hear from you all! Sorry about your fall JKEerie. We don’t have winters like we used to in my part of the UK, even a dusting of snow is unusual.

I’n no use at DIY round the house, I know I should be but I’m not.

An appealing dog Draclvr!

Thanks Draclvr - we might get some snow at the weekend they say here in the UK, but it doesn’t feel like it.

Christmas traditions

We all have family traditions for various special times of the year. My wife’s family have a kind of toffee tradition, and Virginia every year spends time making said toffee. As I had time on my hands today (it was wet outside) I’ve done a page on my website at https://www.alofmethbin.com/Articles/D...

Re: How early do you prepare for Christmas?

Wise of you who keep an eye open for sales during the year! I don’t plan that far ahead! My wife did ask me if I would ever consider during a cruise over Christmas, certainly not at the moment while we still have family to see.

How early do you prepare for Christmas?

I’ve started buying presents already (as I’m not a last minute person). My excuse there is I like receiving presents (warm glow someone out there remembers me) and it helps to have given presents as well.

We’ll get a Christmas tree up in due course.
