Re: Paradise Lost!

OMG! Rosy!!!! That home is beautiful!! It's huge, though! Lots of space for your dogs to roam around...inside and out. Also lots of space for house guests! I think living there will be much easier on you than Sanday. Hope the paperwork gets done quickly and that your move goes smooth as silk!

Re: It's been quiet around here.

Glad to see that most everyone has joined into this conversation! Val moves can be very stressful but the joy of moving into a new facility off sets it a bit. Sure hope your house sells sooner rather than later. When I moved here 5 years ago (Wow! Time flies!), I had moved all of my "stuff" myself, ...

Re: It's been quiet around here.

We got another 3 inches of snow overnight. Light stuff, so I started to shovel...but then I felt some icy spots beneath my feet as I did so, and decided to grab the snowblower to be safe. I'm feeling better today, but still not 100%...although as I get older, that's likely on a bit of a curve. Congr...

Re: It's been quiet around here.

Good to see you, Drac and LadyK. The bloodhound has a nice face. Sure hope everything works out well and you are able to train and keep it, Drac. Congrats on your handywork as well! You sound like you've been busy LadyK...but in a fun way. I'm with you when it comes to large tasks. I had my entire h...

It's been quiet around here.

It appears that I had the last post which was some time ago on these boards. So...I thought I'd check in to see if everything was alright with everyone. I know the weather throughout the US has been horrendous this winter. I've had just some minor wind damage to the house. I pray for all those poor ...

Re: Snow!

We are bracing for a storm this weekend. The weather forecasters haven't pinned it down as yet, but it looks like over a foot Saturday and Sunday. So much for winter's kindness. :(

Re: Snow!

I see the midwest is getting socked, Drac. Normally we get a lot of snow in WNY with the lake effect. Thus far, the winter has been kind. We only got a dusting from the last storm. It's been really cold this week, though.

Re: Christmas traditions

Glad to hear everyone had a nice Christmas. Skeeter...that baby is a keeper! That' s one movie I did miss watching this year, Lady K...It's a Wonderful Life. Mom and I watched it every year, but this year is fell at awkward times on the networks, so I didn't watch. As to your Christmas cards, you co...

Re: Christmas traditions

Rosy...Absolutely beautifull! I do hope you're able to show this to neighbors...friends, so they see the beauty and the effort. I decorate my house to the nines with trees, villages, etc. Finally family see it on Christmas Day when the whole family is over. When I lived in Erie, I decorated, but no ...

Re: How early do you prepare for Christmas?

Unfortunately, I have no shopping to do. We stopped exchanging years ago and typically only bought items for Mom and the kids in the family. My nieces and nephews are all grown and with Mom gone, that leaves my great nephews who are now at that age where they want gift cards or money. As to decorati...
