Syberia 3

Postby draclvr » Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:54 am

For those of you who have eagerly anticipated the release of Syberia 3, you may want to read this review first. Based on this and other reviews, comments on the STEAM page and a long thread over at Gameboomers, I will NOT be ponying up $40 for this game. Can't tell you how disappointed I am...

Yes, it seems that the tech problems are spoiling what would have been a decent game. That's a shame for those who looked forward to the continuation of Kate's story.

Thank you for the link to the review. I'm afraid the topics covered feel too much like current affairs. I prefer something lighter for my entertainment. Syberia 1 was the first time I'd played a 3rd person game but I have no desire for this story. Shame.

Nice to see you, Chocolate Goddess! It's been a long time!

Supposedly they patched the game so it can be played with a mouse and fixed a bunch of other things which have made it far more playable. They also put it on sale, but it has definitely not changed my mind. Mr. Bill is writing a walkthrough.

Chocolate Goddess has officially changed her name to Caroline, but offerings of chocolate are still accepted. :D

Is your chocolate altar still intact, Caroline?

Well, darn! I was hoping there was going to be a general disbursement of chocolate! I would be happy to share my Milka Chocolate from Germany with you but I... ummm... ATE IT ALL!

Helen, are you trying to infer that Caroline hoards her chocolate???

Me hoard chocolate? It doesn't last long enough to be called a hoard, I do however, HIDE my chocolate. This is where I buy my goodies from. The staff greet me like an old friend. And if you go when they're cooking the beans, the smell in the streets around the factory is simply divine. The factory is surrounded by narrow roads lined with very old and ornate cottages. At Easter they have to employ security guards to manage the traffic.
