If I am looking for emails from, say, BFG, can you do a search for their emails in the gmail account, like you used to be able to do with Windows Live Mail?

You can still search inside Windows Live Mail - I do it all the time. And, yes, you can search in Gmail by entering your search string in the search box at the top of the screen. You can select "search Gmail or search the web." Mine looks like this...

I don't use Windows Live Mail, Drac, now that I am solely using Gmail.

I was thinking that you had to give WLM up when your ISP wanted to start charging you for using it. I think I misunderstood when you said "like you used to be able to do with Windows Live Mail." Sorry! Maybe you will get a nice reasonable ISP on Sanday that will let you use it again! Although I really do like Gmail.

Did the search in Gmail work for you? I got to thinking that yours might look different...

I love gmail now that i have got used to it, so will just stick with that.

I already found what I was looking for, so I didnt have to do a search, but thanks anyway, Drac.

You can search using the box at the top and it will make suggestions based on your addressbook. If you have a recent mail handy you can hover over the sender's name and a profile box pops up - click on 'more' and it'll give you the option to view 'recent conversations' - ie recent mails from that address.

Yup, that's that box I posted a picture of. Like I said, it offers the option to search the web or Gmail.
