So, did you order today? I'm so excited for you! I had no issues at all with the House of Usher game on my Windows 8.1 desktop, so maybe something is afoot with that laptop such as a corrupted download or something.

I am getting this same error message with several BFG games Drac, and this XP laptop is just oh so slow at everything it does.

I am going to order my new PC early tomorrow morning so that they receive it when they open for business. I am also very excited - I have not bought a desktop PC since before I went to Kenya in 2002, can you believe!

I guess you could always send a request for help to Big Fish... maybe a Dr. Felix might find something.

2002! You'll probably think you're in heaven with that new big monitor!

I have carefully followed your instructions this morning, and I have emailed you the quote Drac. Can you please check everything carefully for me, especially the sound card and speakers, as I do not want to make a mistake with this order but IF you have the time, I really would like to order this desktop today if possible. What would I do without your help eh?

Lots of my BFG games are failing on this XP laptop - not sure if its an imminent hardware failure but it must be getting quite old now, so I don't want to be left without a computer. And it is so darn slow (and I don't have much patience as I get older) - I give it a command like Windows Task Manager, wait, nothing, press again, wait, nothing - and then a few minutes later I get 10 Task Managers LOL. Also, with April looming fast, I really dont want to be on the internet with this XP OS.

I didn't get back from Longmeadow until 12:30 am last night and slept in a little bit this morning.

I just went over everything with a fine toothed comb and it looks wonderful. I didn't see a DVI cable for the monitor though??? Might have missed it.

:blob5: Yippee! Now, to wait, wait, wait... Will it come to the Scottish mainland and then have to come to Sanday?

Normally items we order get shipped to Aberdeen, mainland Scotland, then on to Kirkwall (Orkney mainland) and then on to Sanday, I am going to have a word with my contact tomorrow at PC Specialist to see if I can fast track this order (obviously at slightly more cost) as I cant wait 10 to 12 working days to have the order processed, then add a week onto that for delivery.

Well, I had a rethink overnight, and I have emailed PC Specialist this morning to say that I DO want to fast track this order, and hope that they can offer me an alternative power supply, as the one that I ordered is out of stock. I mean, let's be honest, I simply can't wait maybe a month for this new toy, now can I???

My Sanday friend just rang me, very distressed, to say that she had just run over her cat and would I go with her on the ferry to the mainland vet, so I will take my lovely Google Nexus with me in case I need to communicate with the desktop supplier.

Unfortunately not, I am afraid. It's not been a good day.

And OMG I have never been on the ferry when it has been rocking and rolling so much - for sure, it is the roughest seas that I have ever sailed on!

I was afraid of that. I will give my kitties and extra hug tonight.
