And I have to use a wrist pad, so I find an integrated wrist pad and mouse mat perfect for me, and my desk is also wood.

I use a cloth mouse pad on my wood desk . Even when I had a smooth surface , I used a mouse pad . A mouse pad will offer better tracking , & your mouse feet will last longer . This may help explain : https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=35619.0 Myself , I'm currently using this mouse pad : http://www.amazon.com/HyetekTM-Non-slip ... B00W47VRUY

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new mouse.
I've never used a mouse with different colored lights.

And it doesn't get very good reviews at all! I tried to ask the question, "Is the price of this mouse really $8,047.88 CDN?" But I couldn't because I don't have an Amazon.ca account.

On Amazon.com it's $48.16. I've seen this a couple of times on Amazon.ca - a ludicrous price put on for heavens knows what reason. First time I've ever heard of a company NOT wanting to do business. BTW, if you read the reviews on Amazon.com, there are a lot of unfavorable ones.
