Weeks 1-5 - Shrouded in Mystery
Shhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone, but I recently stol...gained access to 8 classified pictures from the notorious Area 51. (Yes, I'm a sneaky Beasty! No, I'm not going to tell you about the alie...friends who are living there.) Because I'm also an old meany, I'm going to reveal only one small section of each scene this first week. During each consecutive week, I'll uncover another small section until a total of 5 pieces per picture are revealed during the last week. Your task is to discover from what games these pictures originated. The sooner you identify them, the more you'll be rewarded, as follows:
1st week = 25 points
2nd week = 20 points
3rd week = 15 points
4th week = 10 points
5th week = 5 points
Maximum score = 200 points

You get 2 guesses per picture per week, but each mistake will cost you a deduction of 2 points, so don't mess up!

Send all your guesses to me, The Beast, by 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, the last day of the tournament. Wheeee! This is gonna be fun!

Week 1 - Back to Basics
I hate monstergarten! I gave teacher a nice wormy apple, but she gave me too much homework anyway. I have to do 26 ABC riddles, but the words are too hard for me. Mommy Beasty is working the night shift under somebody's bed, and Daddy Beast is too busy with his evil puzzle to help me. Can you help? Just click
HERE to read the riddles, and send your answers to Quizmaster by Sunday, September 30 at 7:00 PM Central Daylight Time. He said he would check them for me if I promise not to scratch his cat, chase a bat, or squash his hat. (It was hard, but I promised.)

I don't want to be too mean like Daddy, so you can guess the answers 2 times each, and you will get these points:
1st correct guess = 10 points
2nd correct guess = 5 points
Bonus score if you give QM all 26 correct answers all at once = 15 points
Biggest score you can get = 275 points

Quizmaster says "A" and "The" don't count when you are looking for the titles, so ignore them.

ALL PLAYERS PLEASE NOTE: The clue to F in Back to Basics is causing some confusion, so it is being modified. It should read:

F as in Feast
Now don't shed some tears.
This game is about some permanent spheres.

If you have already answered this one and it is incorrect, you will not receive the 5 point penalty if you submit the correct answer.

Also, please note that H, V & W could have more than one answer. Either will be accepted.

Week 2 - Wicked Word Web
You have just run into a
WICKED WORD WEB and may find it rather sticky. To solve this puzzle and get free of the web, you must solve two parts of the puzzle:

Part I - Hidden Words
Each of the 3 puzzle grids contains 8 adventure game objects as indicated by the category title. The hidden words may be horizontal, vertical or diagonal and may be read backward or forward. There is no word shorter than 4 letters, and many of the hidden words share letters. In the Places grid you may find proper names as well as generic. Each item is worth 10 points to start. You may guess an item up to 3 times, but each mistake will cost you 2 points. The maximum score for this section is 240 points.

Part II - Name the Games
One item from each category (Characters, Places, Items) belongs in the same adventure game. Match them up and name the 8 adventure games in which the groups of three can be found. You will earn 15 additional points for each correct answer, but you will have only one chance to get these correct. This section is worth a maximum of 120 points.

The entire puzzle is worth 360 points. Submit your answers to me via PM by 7:00 PM CDT on Sunday, October 7.
