Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
I have come to absolutely detest puzzles where moving one thing makes others move at the same time. You know, the light all the lights puzzles, turn the circles, roll the dials, etc. etc. I don't know if it's my age or the way my brain is wired but these are a definite "skip" for me as soon as I see one. I'm okay with other types so I can't be too doolally yet!

I'll give them a shot and usually stumble on a solution. I hate puzzles without "reset" buttons, though. Sometimes you head in a wrong direction and need to start over. I hate when you have to keep going down the wrong path until you make your way out of it.

I also hate those, Diat! Usually there is a logic to it, but I never figure it out. On the other hand, I secretly actually like sliders!

OMG, a secret slider lover! What other aberrations will come to light from other members?

Agree with JK - hate not being able to restart a puzzle! Hate!! Am ok with some sliders, but must be honest and say that sliders are probably the most 'skipped' of all the puzzles for me.

He, he! Yes, I must be!

I don't mind sliders at all. They're not a very imaginative choice of puzzle, but (unless there's some twist) they can all be solved in the same systematic way and are kind of satisfying.
Re: Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
I hate (because I'm useless at them) puzzles where you have to follow dance moves or the like, or beat out the same rhythm.
Re: Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
Object puzzles that require you to somehow get the object for a puzzle-in-the-future that you have 0 idea you need at that moment in time but are expected to pick it up because if you don't then you're out of luck.
Re: Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
Hate that too! Have learnt the hard way that anything that can be picked up, should be picked up, regardless of whether it makes sense at the time!!

Re: Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
I hate those too... I need at least a LITTLE bit of logic in my puzzles and then there is some object that makes zero sense at the time.

I don't mind sliders if I know the image I'm supposed to create, but some are so abstract that I get it the wrong way around and then have to start again from scratch. I do like the sliding block puzzles where you have to work the key tile to the opening, but I really dislike the ones with overlapping rings where you have to get the colored balls arranged in a certain way. I always give them a try but tend to skip them if given the option.
Into each life some rain must fall, but this is getting ridiculous!
Re: Game Puzzles I Could Do Without
Lady K, we think alike! I also avoid those ring puzzles whenever possible and bless the "skip". I like sliding block puzzles too. I have this one on my tablet but it's also available on PC. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/p ... blggh189f2.
