Oh my goodness, I surely hope you like them! But I think you will. Although check with me if you want some of his others, as some are better than others.

Well, if I don't like them, Diat, I know who to blame, don't I?

I am getting through 2 to 3 books a week at the moment - all read at night.

Yup, they are quick, even to a remote place like Sanday.

Crikey - Sarum is huge - 1,300 pages - Dont know if I have the strength to hold such a heavy book LOL!

Diat, I am at long last reading Russka - and I just love it - which is just as well cos it is over 900 pages long - I am half way through it already - I have always held a fascination for anying "Russian" since I visited there quite a few years ago. Thank you so much for recommending this book to me.

I wondered if you had read it yet. So pleased you like it, it's a heavy burden to recommend a book to others, leading one to sleepless nights, nail biting and loss of appetite. Strange I haven't lost a single pound so far!
