Final Fantasy games

Postby Kickaha » Thu Dec 24, 2015 4:03 pm

Has anyone here played any of these? I noticed that some of them are now available on the iPad - though my backlog of unplayed games isn't shrinking at the moment!

I never got into them, but my grandson played all of them and said they were great.

Yes, my backlog is NOT shrinking at all! Hopefully after the holidays I will have some time to just sneak away to my PC corner and game to my heart's content!

They're the archetypal JRPG series - 7 in particular pretty much defined the modern JRPG style. The first couple are more 'generic fantasy' but it gets more anime-ish from there. Expect prettiness and flashy combat animations in the later ones, but quite a lot of level grinding and very linear stories.

Thanks Phlebas and Draclvr! I've recently downloaded the extended edition of "Divinity Original Sin" so perhaps I should retire to have enough time to play all these games!

I gave up on the series after 10.

I'll probably give the VII ramake a go when it comes out.

Too busy with Fallout 4 atm.

I'm SO tempted to get Fallout 4. But I have two RPGs going right now and I keep repeating to myself, "Finish Witcher 3 and Middle Earth, Shadow or Mordor first..."
