I hear you, Drac. Once people get past a certain age and have so many health issues, they feel they've lived long enough and are ready to move on. It's sad when there is nothing to look forward to.

this sounds very serious, but, quality of life is everything. I know that if I get to an age where my life is not fun anymore, I don't want transfusions, etc. My mother said the same thing and she is 90 years old. I hope she is okay, but, I totally understand if she is not happy or thinking she will get better to not get any more treatment. Keep us posted on how she is doing. She is on my prayer list now.

Well, after nearly five days of silence, BD has resurfaced. We still have no idea why she did not contact us for so long or what is going on, but she appears to be OK.

That's good news. Hopefully she was just having a few bad days and is over them now. We look forward to hearing from her here soon.
