Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I finished Shivers and absolutely loved it, except for the rabafratzen marble puzzle, which took me quite a while to solve. Next I want to finish Technobabylon, which I set aside for real life reasons and never got back to. It's on my iPad mini, which I'm not fond of using for games because of the small screen, but since I like the game so far, I want to finish it.
By the way, has anyone played Violett? I enjoyed the exploration and puzzle solving very much, but the end has a boss fight that I can't seem to beat. It irks me no end when an adventure game does that.

I found Violett a great and beautiful little game. Played it some time back so honestly can't remember whether I got stuck at the end or not.

Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I might have to look into Violett after the gardens are done... Sound like I might like it.

I just finished Magicama. I played Xiama, Magnetic and Magicama back to back to back. I got stuck in a couple of puzzles in Magicama...not quite grasping the concept, but Peter was available for a nudge when I needed it. Peter's mind can be quite diabolical when it comes to some of the puzzles. My goodness what creativity!

If you do play Violett, Drac, I'd be anxious to see how you deal with the ending. I looked at a walkthrough, and it appears that there may be two different versions of the game. In the one I read, the ending seemed to happen automatically.
I agree that Peter is quite a clever puzzle maker. I wish more of his games were Mac compatible.
I had planned to get back into Technobabylon today but decided to try Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon instead. Shivers put me in the mood for something spooky again. I have played the first two Dracula games, Resurrection and The Last Sanctuary, and have had the third one ready to go for at more than a year now. I like the atmosphere so far.

LadyK...Magnetic Revisited is available for MAC. Have you played it as yet?

Currenty playing The Long Reach on Nintendo Switch. A side scrolling horror adventure game. Love the retro pixel graphics. Game is pretty creepy too.

Hey, Sneaker! It's good to see you here!
I'm still playing Dracula 3 and am really enjoying the creepiness of it, which has been building. A couple of the puzzles stressed my gray cells quite a bit, but I like the challenge.

Hi LadyKestrel. Love the first two Dracula games. Especially the first one. It's very short, but the atmopshere is amazing. Need to play the other games again soon.

To bring this topic alive again ... I have been playing Syberia 3 and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. Have had to wait until my pc had sufficient capacity and oomph to play it!! Have now ugraded and can play BIG games again. Am totally chuffed and immensely happy.

Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I passed on Syberia 3 because of the uproar about the dreadful controls on a PC. I know they made some changes, so maybe they really helped.
On that subject, there is going to be a Syberia 4! Syberia The World Before.

The controls for Syberia 3 were annoying but it was a good game. I am playing The room 3. I like this series.

Yes the controls are annoying but the game makes it worth the occasional annoyance! Have Obduction lined up next!

Re: What adventure game are you playing?
Currently playing two adventures on my 3DS. Without Escape which is also a PC game on Steam. Really like the horror atmosphere and the graphics.
The second adventure is a weird one for me. It's American Girl: Julie Finds a Way. I don't think I'm the target audience (neither American, nor a girl ;)) and the cover is pretty bad.

But I was intrigued. It's a third person adventure obviously aimed a young girls but I'm pretty impressed with the graphics on the smaller screen of the DS/3DS. But the gameplay is pretty bad, keep getting stuck in the scenery because of bad collision detection and a wonky camera. But I think I'm intrigued enough to see it through till the end.
