Having grown up in the Foster care system, one place after another, Victoria Jones has trouble getting close with anyone. Her only way of expressing her feelings is with flowers. Having turned 18, she has nowhere to go and sleeps in the public park. There she plants a small flower garden, having stolen the plants from neighborhood gardens. Soon a local florist discovers her talents and hires her part time. Will Victoria find what has been missing in her life?
This is Vanessa Diffenbaugh's debut novel, and I could hardly put it down.
